Markham Santa Claus Parade

Join us for the 50th Annual Markham Santa Claus Parade, presented by Tim Hortons, in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Markham.
 

Parade Route: 

Starting: Highway 7

Ending: 16th Avenue

Port Hope Santa Claus Parade

Find a spot along the parade route to watch the lively procession. All spectators are asked to please be respectful of others along the route and bring along layers, snacks and supplies to stay comfortable while you wait for the colourful procession.

This year’s parade will feature live music, floats and displays from many local businesses and community groups. Bring along a food item as the Fare Share Food Bank will be collecting non-perishable food items and the Rotary will be collecting parade donations.

Ending: intersection of Queen & Augusta

Whitby Santa Claus Parade

The Whitby Santa Claus Parade has been held on the first Saturday of December for 50+ years. An event for all ages, the Whitby Santa Claus Parade showcases over 50 organizations holiday spirit as they walk along the Brock St. parade route. The Whitby Santa Claus Parade was organized by JCI Durham for the first 50 years of the parades history. The Optimist Club of Brooklin, Ontario took over the organization of the parade in 2022 and looks forward to continuing the traditions that JCI Durham started.
 

Parade Route: 

Starting: The parade’s starting point is at the intersection of Brock Street North and Manning Road

Ending: The parade will travel Southbound on Brock Street and end at the intersection of Brock Street South and Trent Street

THE REPTILE EXPO EXPERIENCE

An Evening of Lamplight 

Make spirits bright and merry at An Evening of Lamplight!

On Saturday, December 7, from 6–8 pm, the Oshawa Museum will open the doors to our historic homes to celebrate the holiday season. Traditionally Victorian-dressed staff members greet visitors in Henry House, which is lit with oil lamps. Robinson House features our exhibits, A Carrying Place and Untold Oshawa. Don’t forget to visit with Mother Christmas, and stop by Guy House for uniquely Oshawa gifts!

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by the Oshawa Civic Band.

Admission is $5 per person (free for members of the Oshawa Historical Society)
